Jenessa G. B. Coccaro works on a wide range of commercial litigation matters. She has prosecuted and defended lawsuits at the trial and appellate level involving contracts, business torts, corporate governance, securities litigation, business acquisitions and commercial fraud. Her clients include publicly-traded companies, large- to mid-sized Arizona and California businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals.
Prior to joining Kercsmar & Feltus, Ms. Coccaro worked at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, one of the country’s premier litigation firms on matters involving securities litigation, health care fraud and white collar criminal defense.

- Represented founder of event-management company in multi-million dollar dispute with buyer over earnout provision of asset purchase agreement.
- Represented California LCD manufacturer in design dispute with Arizona supplier regarding displays for public utilities.
- Represented former franchise owner in dispute with franchisor over sale of franchise.
- Represented minority shareholder and former director in corporate governance dispute with majority shareholder and president.
- Represented telecommunications retailer in dispute with distributor over commissions and charge-backs.
- Represented national bank in dispute over mortgage loan application.
- Represented trustee of family corporate trust in dispute over trust assets.
- Represented California business in Arizona dispute over settlement agreement.
- Participated in defense of officer and director of a major publicly-traded corporation against government allegations of stock option backdating.
- Worked on parallel shareholder derivative and class action lawsuits involving securities fraud claims.
- Analyzed and researched novel legal questions for pre-indictment and pre-complaint negotiations with the United States Attorney’s Office and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Drafted tolling agreements and prepared presentations for pre-indictment negotiations with the local District Attorney’s Office in which the government ultimately declined to prosecute a worksite injury claim.

Ms. Coccaro volunteers with the International Rescue Committee and Community Legal Services. She is also a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and the Wellesley-in-Phoenix Alumnae Club.
Personal
Ms. Coccaro grew up in Austin, Texas. In her free time, Ms. Coccaro loves exploring Arizona with her husband and chocolate lab. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming and yoga.
